'Carioca' n.897, reports about Elady'rs soujourn in São Paulo's PRG-9 Radio Nacional for the month of October 1952. She was impressed with the enthusiasm of the Paulista audience at the radio station auditorium.
Eladyr Pôrto's bad press. Monthly magazine 'A Cigarra' issue August 1954, publishes a not very endearing note about Eladyr's ability to sing a good dittie. Journalista J. Chamusca had an axe to grind when he claimed Eladyr sang sambas in Argentina e other Latin American countries whereas whenever in Brazil she chose to sing tangos. Is there anything wrong with that? Chamusca thinks so.
